Homemade Granola
on
July 11, 2017
Following on from my last post about activating nuts and seeds I activated pumpkin and sunflower seeds - here is what I did with them.
Recipe
- 2 cups oats
- 1 cup mixed activated seeds
- 3 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon mach powder
- 1/2 cup FSC linseeds
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup goji berries
- 1 cup activated buckwheat
- 1/2 quinoa
- 5 tablespoons coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons honey
Method
- Pre heat the over to 120degrees
- Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.
- Melt the coconut oil on a low heat - add the honey and stir together.
- Poor coconut oil and honey mixture over dry ingredients and mix it in well.
- Tip the mixture on top of a baking paper in a shallow tin.
- Put in the oven for 20mins
- Once out stir the mixture slightly and leave too cool.
- Store in a glass jar.
One thing to remember with Granola, even though it is homemade, natural and full of goodness - it is also full of calories! So i don't recommend more than a couple of table spoons on top of some greek yoghurt for breakfast in the morning.
