Weekly Tip - How to wash your hands
on
March 11, 2020
Washing our hands is something we should all be doing regularly throughout the day, but since the out break of the COVID-19 it’s become even more important. Follow the steps below for making sure you are washing your hands correctly.
- Wet your hands
- Use a hand soap
- Lather your hands with soap, clean between fingers, rings and under nails
- Scrub your hands with the soap for 30 seconds
- Rinse with clean water
- Dry with a clean towel or air dryer
- Apply hand sanitiser with an alcohol content of 60% alcohol. Massage into hands and let it dry for 30 seconds
Have a look at the black light photo shared online. It shows the amount of bacteria that is still left on our hands after a quick rinse of our hands vs a proper wash! If that doesn't get you washing your hands for longer - I don’t know what will!!
